It’s a well-known fact that President Obama and the First Family like to keep current with their musical choices. Pop’s biggest names like Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys and the cast of ‘Glee‘ were all part of the big 2013 Inauguration festivities.
Katy Perry, Usher and some of the ‘Glee’ kids performed at the Kids Inaugural Concert, whereas Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce and the PS22 choir took over musical duties at the actual inauguration ceremony. (Jay-Z, Katy Perry and John Mayer even watched from the audience!)
At the inauguration ball, Jennifer Hudson performed Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ while the President and his First Lady shared the dancefloor, and Alicia Keys added a special twist to ‘Girl on Fire.’ Even rockers fun. wanted in on the celebrations with their performance of ‘We Are Young’ at the inaugural ball.
